What to expect when you visit The Keep

Well, the first thing you can be sure of is a very warm welcome, Brian and Jane keep a happy house and love to great friends old and new.

Things are a bit different at the moment though so we thought it would be worth taking a few minutes to explain our new procedure, it’s all very straightforward and all we ask is that you respect a few simple rules designed to keep us all safe and comfortable…

1. ‘Welcome to The Keep, it’s great to see you’ is pretty much what we’ll say when we greet you at the door

2. We will ask you to complete a form with your contact information and point you in the direction of our hand sanitiser

3. We will show you to your table and somebody will pop over and take your order, please remain at your table unless you need to visit the bathroom. The bathrooms are quite small so we are limiting them to one person at a time.

4. Our tables are separated by screens, during your visit we would ask you to resist the urge to channel your inner Pickford’s Removal Person and refrain from moving the tables, they are just the right distance apart.

… and that’s about it, nothing too controversial just common sense.

A few other notes while we have you, The Keep is a ‘proper pub’ and while we love children and young people, we do have an over 25’s policy. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must be kept on a lead and finally, if you reserve a table but cannot make your visit, please, please let us know… somebody else might be dying of thirst and we’d hate them to miss out on the best Gin and Tonic in Guildford!

Stay safe, stay local… and welcome to The Keep, it’s great to have you back.
